Kawartha Food Share is a not for profit charitable organization that provides an essential service in our community. These are challenging times for KFS, over 7,100 people rely on food banks monthly. With the recent downturn in the economy our member agencies have felt the added strain in meeting the daily needs of individuals and families. Unfortunately many in our community have lost their jobs or have had their hours cut back due to no fault of their own. When this happens many families need to take from their food budget to make ends meet. We are grateful to those dedicated individuals and groups that volunteer in the warehouse and at food drives. To our community partners "Thank you" for your generous donations of product to be distribute to our member agencies, food cupboards and school programs. Our staff and Board of Directors do an amazing job in helping with the day to day operation of KFS. We are happy to see an increase of students volunteering at the warehouse, working alongside our seniors and warehouse staff. If we want to
eliminate hunger, everyone has to be involved.

Dave Ralph
The 3 Loonies on the street broadcasted live on The WOLF & KRUZ Friday, December 18th and raised over $111,000 for KFS to fight hunger. Over the past 8 year Bob, Bruce and Peter have raised over $400,000 through this event to help Kawartha Food Share keep food supplied to local food banks, meal programs and schools.

Thank you to all that supported them and our worthwhile cause.
